U.S. Reportedly Opens New Shipping Corridor on Omani Side of Strait of Hormuz

🚨 Recent satellite imagery suggests that the Department of War has conducted a covert dredging operation to open up a never-before-used shipping corridor through the Omani side of the Strait of Hormuz.

The corridor in question is an approximately 1,600-foot-wide waterway with a natural depth of about 93 feet, meaning that only a small amount of dredging would have been necessary to make it safe for VLCCs (Very Large Crude Carriers).

Worth noting, ships navigating this corridor remain completely outside the Iranian regime’s line of sight due to the Omani island of Jazirat Musandam and the curvature of the Earth.

I agree, the best thing we can ever do to really harm Iran is make the Strait of Hormuz irrelevant. Once its irrelevant, Iran doesnt have anything to hang over anyone’s head, we can say “Hey you can keep your stupid lil Strait, means nothing to us anymore”

“Once its irrelevant, Iran doesnt have anything to hang over anyone’s head”

Quite. They wanted weapons and money. Now they’ll have neither

Imagine that awful Trump knowing what he’s doing. He continues to annoy. More and more.

Pipelines are the ultimate fix. No ships, nothing for Iran to shoot at. The Gulf Nations are pulling out the stops to fast track new and expanded oil pipelines to avoid shipping through the Straight of Hormuz. It is well worth the billions to achieve it.

This should have been completed 20 years ago. Better late than never. It won’t be long before there aren’t any oil tankers transiting the Straight of Hormuz and Iran won’t have any oil hostages anymore.

I think if they had started doing this from the beginning maybe the outcome would be different. Iran NEEDS the Strait, but they also need China and Russia to continue supplying them with drones and other material, which they have..Iran, China, and Russia, the real axis of evil

The ultimate fix is to buy oil from Venezuela (and maintain our relations with them).

Might be a little squeezy but it’s enough for a two-way transit. Largest tankers are 68 meters (223 feet) on the beam. Tough to mine, impossible to keep mined. Iran might try to deliberately sink a ship in it to block it but I doubt it would be there long. Nice move, IMHO.

What makes you so sure Trump is a doofus and didn’t think of that?

Have you seen Gen Cain and Adm Cooper?

There are posts on X calling this fake news. Not saying the skeptics are correct, but this should be checked.

And all of this dredging was completely oblivious to Chinese satellites? These are the same satellites that target US bases for Iran over there. Sounds like fake news.

If it is confirmed to be fake news, I'll request for this thread to be pulled.
