‘Republicans For Talarico’ Exposed As Complete Scam
Daily Wire ^ | 08/10/2026 | Jacob Wheeler

Posted on 08/12/2026 9:41:27 AM PDT by DFG

Leftist outlet MS NOW aired a segment featuring three Texas women who identified themselves as Republicans and vowed to cross over for James Talarico — but records show at least some of them have voted in Democratic primaries and donated to liberal candidates and causes.

Talarico, who has sparked backlash for his fringe views on Christianity, affection for transgender children, and disdain for the American flag, is banking on Republican crossover support to become the first Texas Democrat elected statewide in decades.

“Republicans for Talarico is as real as the six genders that Talarico claims exist, but has yet to explain what they are. This lame rebrand of White Dudes for Kamala is full of lifelong Democrat donors, activists, and other losers,” RNC spokesman Zach Kraft said in a statement to The Daily Wire.

That “rebrand” was put on display earlier this month when MS NOW aired a segment from the political show “Long Play,” featuring three white women from Tarrant County who portrayed themselves as disgruntled conservatives eager to vote for one of the most liberal candidates in Texas to run for federal office. The exchange went viral after Talarico’s campaign seized on the segment, dubbing the women “Republican Moms.”

During the segment, former school board candidate Mindy McClure described herself as a “moderate Republican,” but as the saying goes, follow the money. Federal Election Commission filings show McClure has repeatedly given through ActBlue to Democratic candidates and anti-Trump groups dating back to 2018, including the Lincoln Project and Kamala Harris’ 2024 presidential campaign.

“You’ve been Republicans for most of your voting lives. Who’s voting for James Talarico?” asked Jennifer Palmieri, the former communications director for Hillary Clinton’s failed presidential campaign.

All three of the so-called Republican moms raised their hands, arguing they had been duped by conservative culture-war messaging about “woke” politics in elementary schools.

Allison Stiles complained that COVID-19 had galvanized the “far right” around concerns over public school curriculum, using that apparent frustration as part of her rationale for supporting Talarico. “And I never send money to state people, but this year I did. Not only am I going to vote for you, but I’m going to give you some money!”

“It seems to be this systematic dismantling, where they want to almost, to use the phrase, burn it all down, and then rebuild it the way they want it,” Erin Montgomery said. “These are people that I may have supported, and I felt like I held a chunk of responsibility for what was happening, and now I’m going to do my damnedest to turn it around to get them out.”

Montgomery hasn’t voted in a Republican primary since at least 2017 and over the last 20 years has voted in more Democratic primaries than Republican primaries, according to a Republican source who has reviewed the voting records. Texas reporter Tony Ortiz also reviewed the records, which showed that at least two of the women participated in Democratic primaries despite identifying themselves as Republican voters during the interview.

“Ran the voting record for one of the ‘Republican’ women featured here and she’s already been voting in Democratic primaries this year,” Ortiz wrote in a post on X. “Seems disingenuous to call yourself Republican if you’ve already been voting Dem.”

In response to the discrepancies, a Talarico campaign spokesperson said the women have no official ties to the campaign, telling Fox News: “Republicans in Texas are endorsing James Talarico and rejecting Ken Paxton because they know James will bring people together to lower costs while Paxton continues to enrich himself at the expense of working people.”

The strategy extends beyond the three women from Tarrant County. Talarico has also leaned into the endorsement of former Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley, a longtime Republican who has in recent years backed prominent Democrats — including Kamala Harris for president and Colin Allred over Sen. Ted Cruz in the 2024 Senate race, according to local outlet WFAA.

At a campaign stop in San Antonio over the weekend, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton called for Republican unity heading into November, warning that the race could help determine the balance of power in Washington.

“We need to unify, because the choice — as James Talarico would say — is binary. He would say nonbinary,” Paxton joked. “We have a radical, socialist Democrat and a conservative Republican … we’re all coming together because we realize this is a threat not just to Texas but the entire nation.”

Talarico is Jim Jones without the Kool-Aid.

The Kool-Aid was the last part of his life.

Talarico is still in the early stages of his career. Give him time.

Not PURE evil, but extremely pernicious, and a stalking horse sent in to test the will of righteous people everywhere. His honeyed words and air of charisma may sway a few who are wiling to be seduced, but he has no honest sentiments of his own, that in any way reflect those of Texans.

Liberals are, in my fairly extensive experience, willing to lie, accuse others of made up crimes / transgressions, and essentially do whatever they think is necessary to achieve their goals. I can imagine some of these people starting a ‘Jews for Hitler’ chapter - just to push their agenda. They are that duplicitous and spiteful.

Similar things happening in AZ.
Cindy McCain has taken off the mask and is now full on crazy lib.
Hobbs has picked a “Republican” to be Assistant Gov but is in reality a McCain minion.

Jim Jones was a Democrat who headed the San Francisco Housing Board. Harvey Milk was one of his biggest fans.

I just cant begin to count the number of people on the internet I've caught in this lie.

"Im a lifelong republican, but this time Im voting for (insert name of democrat candidate here)."

It sure is fun doing a little Google detective work on these people to expose their masquerade.

A senior citizen lady claiming to be a former trump voter, I found donations from her to the democratic party dated years before Trump ever entered the political picture. I posted my findings. That’s when she changed her settings on her Facebook profile to make it more private.

A couple more were wealthy businessmen who claimed to be lifelong republicans who voted for Trump. But their donation history gave them away. Another was a young man who claimed to have voted for Trump in 2016. Only, research showed he was only 15 years old in 2016.

Even my own leftist brother got in on the act.

Days after the 2020 election, he posted on Facebook how he used to be a lifelong Republican, came from a solidly republican family and how he once loved and revered the GOP. But switched to Democrat before the election and voted for Biden. How his party switch caused friction from the family. How he’s a nice, peaceful guy who respects other people’s differing political beliefs and doesn’t deserve what the family is dishing out.

But its all lies.

The family and him were always democrat. Our mother. Our grandparents. Our Aunts and Uncles, our cousins, etc. When he registered to vote for the first time back in the early 1990s, his party of choice was Democrat and remains Democrat to this day.

(When I first registered decades ago, I was the first and only Republican in the family)

Here is another example of one of those fakers who got upended, by his former brother in law, on Twitter. In spite of being exposed for the liar he is, the organization that posted his video used it in one of their ads for the campaign.

The Talarico ads say nothing about him, just that he’s in the tightest and most expensive race. I don’t think they even mention the Democratic party. I’m in Florida and I see his plea for money several times per day. He comes across as a 1950’s Boy Scout.

Didn’t they try this with Kamala too ? Republicans for Kamala.
Do Republicans ever try to run with this nonsense ? Democrats for Trump.
I don’t think it ever impacts a single vote anyways , it might appeal to the chronically online types

He is utterly creepy at a foundational level.

When I see his countenance on one of his YouTube pleas for money, every single cell in my body screams that there is something deeply wrong with him that goes beyond just being a standard Leftist Democrat.

I don’t know what that is, but my instincts in these things is reliable for me.
