It’s very much a side point. And I guess writers these days just can’t help themselves.

We’re stuck there without a local uprising. The Spectator(pay wall) says there is no alternative to the Strait of Hormuz. Nobody has any business closing an international waterway. We’ve always been the guarantor of the world’s sea lanes. This one is different as we get little oil from the strait. The other gulf nations. Will the pipelines across Saudi territory do the job? If we fill the vacumn will the gulf nations stick with us if their oil can’t get to market? We’ve really set the table for Iran’s enemies to finish the job. That includes Israel. Will they do it? What do they have over Trump who drew the line on their behalf?

I don’t get it. Iran has not honored a single agreement since 1979, so why are we trying so hard to fashion an agreement that they won’t abide by anyway? The only solution is complete tooth extraction from this mindless tiger.
It would be critically important to learn the locations where the Iranians store, program, arm and launch their missiles and drones.Until recently Israel’s Mossad network had provided such information. In the first two weeks of intense precision bombing Israel was hoping to overthrow the mullah regime and it was tottering. Suspect they ordered Mossad to go all out to provide such information. Also suspect that these incredibly brave agents took big chances to get the information and critical parts of the Mossad network were rolled up by the Iranians. Hence the ignorance about drone and missile locations.

I mourn the soldiers recently killed. However, since the beginning of the action in Iraq 50 plus police officers have been killed in the line of duty and 40 firefighters have died. They knew the assignment.
