White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt isn’t thrilled with her generation. In a recent interview with Fox News’ Jesse Watters, she agreed that her fellow Zoomers are lazy and entitled. “This generation, my generation, I hate to say it, Gen Z and those younger than me have been raised with just silver spoons in their mouths,” she told the Fox News host. She added that they’ve been given everything and are completely ungrateful for those privileges. She even thinks some of them need to be sent to Cuba or Iran to straighten up.
The comments didn’t land well on social media. But Leavitt wasn’t bothered by the outrage. She doubled down in a lengthy X post. “I was asked by Jesse Watters why so many young people are buying the false promise of ‘free stuff’ being sold by communist politicians,” she wrote. “My answer: a combination of laziness, yes, and the liberal indoctrination that has been taking place in our education system for far too long.”
It’s a strange message for the administration to blast out when President Donald Trump is underwater with young voters. Generational conflict is stupid. We shouldn’t hate our parents and grandparents. At the same time, our parents and grandparents shouldn’t hate the future of our country. While both sides of the generational war are making waves in politics, animosity toward the young is a more powerful force. Property tax bans, which would defund services such as schools meant for the next generation, are pushed by older Americans—not the young. There is zero effort to reform the entitlements enjoyed by Boomers.
If Republicans want a chance to win over the young, they’ll have to stop with Zoomer-bashing aimed for the old.
Young people aren’t the enemy.

“The comments didn’t land well on social media.”
Well, that is where Gen-Z goes for their information after all.
Gen Z.
They have been brainwashed to hate the country and themselves by their teachers and media. They have watched millions upon millions of foreigners take jobs housing and other resources that are meant to go to Americans. Political leaders grovel to America hating Islamists and illegal aliens. Public schools are garbage. Colleges are little more than indoctrination camps.
They got gypped by the commie boomers who took over education media and pop culture
Regardless of how true this is, don’t dismiss a whole generation. Thats how boomer politicians lost gen X. Guide and encourage gen z conservatives. They exist just as gen x conservatives exist.
She’s not wrong.
i would compare my background (early genX) to any genZ today and they’d choke.
100+ hr weeks? they’d riot if it went over 45.
physically tough? hardly.
these would be the soft times shaping the current generation.
there was wisdom in how the Spartans raised their boys.
Gen Z conservatives aren’t the ones who took offense to Leavitt’s comments. They’re nodding in agreement. I know several Gen Z and Gen Alpha conservatives, and they are going to be some of the staunchest Christian Americans we’ve seen come up in a long time.
White middle and upper middle class women under 35 are problematic
And uniformed utterly
100+ hour weeks doing what?
Young people aren’t the enemy.
Why, yes...yes they are.
Are they irreclaimable and lost? I don’t think so. But they are definitely a problem when they embrace and ELECT dumbass socialists and communists.
that was during GW1 in washdc.
7a to 2a, M-Sa
it continued, off and on, thru the 90s to about 2004
But for the kids, bashing the younger generation has been around since Plato.
Who raised them? Their parents. If the kids are not up to snuff, blame the parents. The kids can't raise themselves.
Now that we have these Gen Zers, BRING THEM ALONG.
They are as much reacting to no mentoring as to simple youthful rebellion against authority.
Convert them to conservatism.
There are LOTS of homeschooled Gen Zers who are outstanding. These kids are not too young to learn and adapt. Ask any drill sergeant.
But we have a great opportunity to show them the confusion related to politics, and to how the real world operates: Is it not true that this doesn't dawn on many of us until we reach age 30, 40, 50?
The Communists appeal to their naivete and rebellious instincts as fledgling adults.
We need to take them under our tutelage and show them how the world works.
They really do want to know ! They will see right through the Communists' arguments just as soon as they are shown them.
Bring them along! Don't bash them.
As far as the work/laziness issue: Most people's capacity for work goes WAY up in their thirties and forties, and even beyond. Don't write them off at 25.
If we win this coalition-forming battle, we own the next 140 years !

I can speak as a boomer. A lot of my fellow boomers were born on 3rd base and act like they hit a triple.
She’s 100% spot on and it only affects those who hate Trump and America anyway.
The mirror of truth has been replaced by the selfie filter of vanity. Boo hoo for the Zeds.
The fact that they took to social media to type out a few words proves her point.
EC
She is spot on. They hated me when I taught high school. I was very direct. I do not care and even less so now. Look where we are now. There definitely needs to be some severe “straightening up”.
The media is very good at spotlighting the bad apples of various groups.
Bad apples might make up 3% of a group but the media will make the percentage appear to be 50%.
“ White middle and upper middle class women under 35 are problematic.”
AWFULs
