So long as less than $200 is donated to any one candidate, it is not necessary to reveal the names and addresses of these fictitious “small donation” supporters, and the apparent result is to show a “groundswell” for a candidate who has much less support than really exists.

I don't know why some of these campaigns don't get the idea of just printing out some of these news articles and sending them in the mail to voters, also taking printouts of them to ol' timer hangouts and passing them out (starting word of mouth campaigns) - far less costly than 30 second ads and would get the news out there around the MSM. A lot of people might just throw them away as junk mail, but enough would read it and maybe talk to their family and neighbors and be like "did you know this about this guy running for Senate? He's nuts!"
