The Maine Senate race has turned into a disaster for Democrats after more allegations, this time alleging rape, were dropped against Graham Platner yesterday afternoon. While Platner has not dropped out of the race yet and has not indicated what he plans to do, several prominent Democrats have withdrawn their endorsements and called on him to drop out.
That means Democrats have to find someone to run against Republican incumbent Susan Collins. Governor Janet Mills dropped out of the race ages ago, not seeing a path to victory, so it's unclear if she'd return to try again. But there's a report that Democrats are looking at Nirva Shah, the former Biden administration CDC Director.
While this is only speculation at this point, it would follow the Democrats' disturbing pattern of ignoring the will of the voters and installing a candidate in a very un-democratic fashion.
Shah wasn't even on the primary ballot.

Yea, a clot shot Nazi is probably a bit better than a real Nazi, but not by much
“Nirva Shah” — there they go again, always reaching for a descendant of the Mayflower Pilgrims candidate.
Is it Kamala Harris?

The Maine Democrat Committee should be looking at Tucker Carlson. I think he’s just about ripe for a formal role in the Party.
I haven’t seen any opinions on the “What If” he doesn’t resign from the race. If July 13th comes and goes without him pulling out, what are the choices left for the Dem. Party?

It's always a laugh riot when these Punjabi types surface. Is it going to be a man or a woman?
Another deep-state and UK commonwealth South Asian comprador.
Apparently the voters don't mind the party choosing the candidates for them.
is = are
Off to the Courthouse!..............
Let’s trade Maine for one of the western Canadian provinces.
Another Dem candidate who the voters didn’t vote for.
Why don’t they try a candidate whose family tree is rooted solidly in America?
Out of curiosity I looked it up. If Platner refuses to resign, the Democrats could organize a write-in campaign.
Maine law evidently allows that. But the write-in candidate must register at least 70 days before the election.
He actually came in first in the governor race in the first round of RCV but then got booted when the process continued.
So....Maine & NH are on a path to flip to Commie...or at least solidly Socialist, nearly the same thing.
This is starting to be a routine plan for the Democrats, who run a controversial candidate up front because the real, dangerous candidate would not stand the scrutiny in a long, primary, then general election.
Whoever replaces Platner will appear to be squeaky clean, even if they are a radical socialist.
