Should’ve applied this logic to the Federal Reserve. NO ROGUE BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT!

Correct decision, although I imagine Kagan is blowing a gasket over the admittedly very weak distinction between this case, and the Federal Reserve (Cook) case that went the other way.

But not what I just turned on, Fox.

Why is any ruling that goes purely way a 6-3 vote???? Will the Three Amigos EVER see anything our way or are they 100% political activists?

Will the Three Amigos EVER see anything our way or are they 100% political activists? You have to ask?

I always cringe when I read the words, "The Supreme Court ALLOWS."
Who is actually governing this country, elected officials or the Supreme Court?

Yes, I’m curious about that distinction between Fed Reserve Board and Fed Trade Commission. no/yes respectively.
Is it supposed ‘independence ‘ status of Fed Reserve ?

It was a rhetorical question : )

I stand corrected. I was thinking it was the decision on the head of the federal reserve, which has not been decided yet.

The Fed case was decided, and was distinguished from the FTC case. The Opinion said that the President can’t fire the head of the Fed at will.

Yes, my brain hadn’t processed the distinction, but I get it now.

That is also not the correct terminology. The Court is actually affirming the Executive authority, not allowing it.

Yes, I’m curious about that distinction between Fed Reserve Board and Fed Trade Commission. no/yes respectively. Is it supposed ‘independence ‘ status of Fed Reserve? Supposedly, yes. Roberts and Barrett (who were the two votes that changed between the Slaughter (FTC) and Cook (Fed) cases, talked about this history of U.S. banking, etc.. Personally, I think it's a weak distinction. The real reason was they thought it would be bad policy to have the Fed membership replaceable at will by the President.

The FEDERAL RESERVE must be ended now.

Reba must be dumb as a crowbar to take on the President.
