These days I am totally uninterested in somebody who “can be confirmed” by the Deep state
I think we need more temporary appointments. Forget about confirmation. Toss people in for 6 months and tell them to accomplish solid things as fast as they can, and leave good notes for the next guy. Rinse and repeat. Anyone who can be confirmed is not someone you want in the post.
