The mayor of Uruapan, Carlos Manzo, pleaded with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum for help in his fight against the cartel which was extorting and killing people in his area. She denied him such help and on the important Mexican holiday of El Dia De Los Muertos he was brutally assassinated by the cartel in front of his family and his fellow citizens. In response, President Sheinbaum has declared herself completely helpless to fight the cartels. Really? Perhaps she should have informed the people of Mexico about her self-declared incompetence last year BEFORE she became President.

If so, the logical next step would be to ask President Trump for help.

I believe she is telling the truth as she finds it. The drug gangs in Mexico are quite powerful there (as they are here in USA). Many police are easily corrupted as are many judges (in probably all countries).
And while we in USA are very fortunate to have thousands of brave and loyal military, bless them!..., President Trump has found that quite a number of the high-up brass are corrupt or incompetent. Why should it be any different in Mexico?

She is helpless to fight those Mexican Government employees...they run the country ... Mexico’s deep state.
They did it once, they can do it again. It would be the same kind of thing as pacifying Panama and taking down Noriega. I don't like to think it, but the status quo needs to go.
