I can’t help but think that a months-long reduction in calories among America’s 42 million EBT recipients would conversely show a vast improvement in chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease.
the country would save $billions in Medicaid.
***Everything wrong with the American welfare system summed up.***
Nothing new. Over 50 years ago there was a TV program about the Welfare problems in the USA.
They interviewed an old man in California who had moved there from Oklahoma in the 1930s depression. He had been gainfully employed every since he moved there. His SON also gainfully employed. His Grand Daughter, born in California was on welfare.
Exactly!
I couldn’t agree more! I think the family in that video could do with a lot less feeding.
A beloved Catholic friend told me the following:
A man and his wife were desperate to have children, but had been unable to conceive after years. They went to their parish priest with their problem. “I’m headed for Rome on Sabbatical”, he told them. I’ll light a candle for you.” Seven years later, he was back, and decided to stop by and see how the couple were doing. The door was answered by the harried looking wife. She held a squalling baby in her arms, A two year old was hanging onto her leg, blubbering, A set of four year old twins were using the staircase for a jungle gym, and various other young children were arguing and fighting with each other. “Saints be praised! The Lord has answered our prayers!”, he exclaimed. And where is your good husband? I’d like to congratulate him!”
The wife, in a voice trying to rise above the cacophony exclaimed, “He’s gone to Rome, to blow out that damned candle!”

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument
Respectfully to Mr. Maga, he is probably unaware not only that the Constitution’s drafters left the care of the people uniquely to the states, not the federal government, but that he keeps unthinking abusing his 17th Amendment power by electing corrupt federal senators who then abuse their 16th Amendment power (direct taxes) to steal state revenues to feed the people by means of unconstitutional federal taxes, probably to win their votes for the next election.
In other words, so-called federal SNAP money to feed needy people should never have left the states in the first place. Let the states feed needy people as the founders had intended.
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
The power to regulate manufactures is no more confided to congress, than the power to interfere with [all emphases added] the systems of education, the poor laws, or the road laws of the states. —Justice Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution 2, 1833.
The congressional record shows that Rep. John Bingham, a constitutional lawmaker, had clarified the federal government's constitutionally limited powers as follows.
Simply this, that the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen [all emphases added], under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Constitution, is in the States and not in the federal government. I have sought to effect no change in that respect in the Constitution of the country. —John Bingham, Congressional. Globe. 1866, page 1292 (see top half of third column)
From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. —United States v. Butler, 1936.
The 16th and 17th Amendments desperately need to be repealed to stop the corrupt federal government in its tracks.
“WE DIDN’T ASK FOR THESE KIDS”
THAT IS ABOUT THE DUMBEST THING I EVER HEARD
AS BAD AS SHE IS-—YOU KNOW THE MAN IS WORSE. HE WAS ABOVE HIS PAY GRADE...
WHEN YOU PAY PEOPLE FOR HAVING MORE KIDS-—YOU GET MORE KIDS
JUST LIKE FEEDING FERAL CATS
I asked this question as a thought experiment and nobody responded. OK possible consequences of Manadami’s election other then in 6 months or less he will be demanding a federal bailout.
Thoughts?
BRIAN-—THE ACCOUNTING COST WOULD BE HORRENDOUS

I SAY THE SAME-—& I DO NOT FIND IT HARD TO DO SO.
They were brought here by the Democrat half of the Uniparty to be slaves - and as a means to force others into slavery to support them.

THEN PAY FOR THEIR HEALTH CARE
THEY ARE ABSOLVED OF ALL RESPONSIBILITY
Perhaps they were lest obese she could dig up?
Snap benefits; illustrates what this country has become. So many lazy slob losers unwilling to care for themselves, although in good health. I have no objection to benefits for the old, infirm, disabled vets and civilians, who really need it. Think of our parents and grandparents who worked their butts off caring for their families and never accepting or getting a hand out.
