Mark Levin when he was trying to shoehorn Cubamerinadian Ted Cruz was, in effect, advocating this definition for a U.S. Natural Born Citizen:

Anyone born anywhere in the universe to any parents whatsoever, except those of us who were born overseas to two non-U.S. citizen parents.

This Guy goes with the inverse definition:

Noone born anywhere in the universe to any parents whatsoever, except those of us who were born in the United States to two U.S. citizen parents.

If you want precision, and ease of understanding, in the definition of U.S. NBC, it would seem you have to pick one of these definitions, or the other.

If you want the definition to have teeth, and make sense in terms of reliably excluding foreign influence, which is what the drafters and ratifiers of CONUS are known to have intended, it would seem you must go with the latter.

I don't get this. If I was accused of pointing a laser pointer at any manned aircraft I would expect to be detained until a pre-trial hearing. Is there something not dangerous about basically attacking a flying aircraft? In front of a law officer would suggest he would do it again if he hasn't already.

The article doesn't say 'released on his own recognizance', or anything similar. Was there a hearing? If not why does law enforcement need to go before a judge at all at this point? Is this the first time somebody was arrested for lasing an aircraft?
