How do you translate Mutually Assured Destruction in Chinese?
This is not a matter of fact, but rather the writer's opinion.
Being an Asian empire certainly, but an empire that must import and export over the high seas. The USA already has a substantial lead in naval operations, logistics and basing, and any fight will be over the nautical lifelines China relies on for profit and survival. Meanwhile, a huge host of elderly supported by far too few youths loom in China's future.
The soulless Chinese Communists may be considering a war as a way to handle their imbalanced society. Their one child policy bought a huge problem. They have117 males for every 100 females.Their farms are completely automated in many provinces so they are stuck with these men most of whom can neither read nor write Chinese. This could be a real problem not another sky is falling.
I have read that the Chinese Communists prefer to take over and enslave the US, not destroy it by nuclear bombs which would make the resources useless for years.
Have to ask Tim Walz to tell us what his comrades in China are planning.
The United States was just held back in research by twelve years of democrat intentional bungling to complement the Chinese objective.
And we also have one goal - beat the Chinese and anyone else in a war.
The PRC’s goal is too treat us as they view the West treated China for 400 years. (Which includes flood us with drugs! See Western sponsored opium trade & Opium Wars!) Complete hegemony where they don’t physically occupy us but use us for resources and dictate to us through proxies. Waltz & the Bidens are good examples of proxies. The PRC military has given speeches at party congresses to this effect for years and done for the most part not secretly. The Western press and particularly the US press has been too disinterested or too lazy to report on.

I thought the Chinese culture put a high value on education.
Covid was a test.
When the UN allowed China in the free trade market it gave them unlimited money for it’s real goal.
Beat America in a War and it’s war machine grew like no other.
Reminds me of the saying, I know not what weapons World War III will be fought with, but the one after that will be sticks and stones.

I doubt it will be America, but falling for MIC ruses to get us into a war isn't out of the question. WMD's in Iraq comes to mind.
