That's exactly what she told me. People on the Right tend to be disapproving, but also don't interject themselves into her life.

She said it's the Lefties that froth in open, outright displays of rage at the red hat, assuming that she shares (and has therefore betrayed) their morals. She 100% fears the Left more than the Right. Not quite an exact quote, but:

"People on the Right civilly disagree with me. It's the @$$holes on the Left that want to lynch me. All because of some bumper stickers and a [censored] hat"
