Former Secret Service Agent Dan Bongino has been named Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations, joining Kash Patel who was confirmed as Director last week.
President Donald Trump made the announcement on Truth Social:

Conservative media will miss having Bongino’s popular podcast airing every day, but taking Patel’s offer was something he just couldn’t refuse.

But how can we stand a day without Dan talking about how he hates to talk about himself, and doing it for 25% of his show?

The ATF is toast. They need to be buried and forgotten.
He only has two months and a week before his 100 days are done. This is the best time to get in his major reforms. This must be done on “Trump Time” as I think he best get it all done in two years—because the Democraps will bend every effort, spend billions, say anything, lie, cheat and use media to win back the House and Senate. Then, with their RINO allies they will stop Trumps agenda cold or impeach him for jaywalking. The people have poor memories and a good scandal—real or imagined, will boost the Liberals back in power like the Covid pandemic did. If they get back the house—heaven help us.
FBI in no way should touch the ATF, they are commercial product regulator and have much more to do with commerce and agriculture.
The regulation of Alcohol and Tobacco at a national level should go to department of Agriculture with some reporting up to commerce and BLS. The states have a very good lock down on both locally with inspection, funding research and safety. So the load will be similar to cotton at department of Ag, 250 employees max running some test facilities to do research, collect some stats the industry will partner with. Using Cotton as an example of public private partnership is great example of what has not been corrupted because nobody in the liberal class wanted a “pickin on cotton” headline, and really the industry is 2000 farmers and 50 gins before it becomes the commercial product we all see.
Firearms at a national level, takes zero employees to understand the 2nd amendment. Ill give them 300 employees to destroy any records they might hold for the next year, but the ATF is really should be stuck into commerce and have zero investigations. The labs can be sent to the DOJ in a research on demand arm, a second source to the FBI labs, we need that friction of ATF and FBI being rivals.
