President Donald Trump has temporarily retired his golf clubs, and will not be playing the sport again until after the election, according to sources close to the Trump campaign. The decision follows the second assassination attempt on his life at his Florida golf course in Sept. After that, federal agents told the 2024 GOP nominee that they couldn't ensure his safety to a degree they were comfortable with if he continued to play the game, NBC News reported.
Trump was briefed by federal law enforcement agents in two separate meetings to address safety concerns. Both Ronald Rowe, the acting director of the Secret Service, and another official from the national intelligence director's office advised Trump to put his clubs down until after the election.

I suspect he’s going to be kinda busy anyway.
USSS has one damn job. Tell Biden he can’t sun his balls on the beach.
Withdraw Biden’s Secret Service protection after Trump takes office.
He can “just take the pain pill.”
I’ll bet Obama still golfs with little concern about his area being secured.
Biden has years left. Maybe. Staring at the end of the runway. That makes me happy.
Now they can’t protect him from an idiot in the bushes, or a man visible walking on a roof with a rifle. Both attempts were made with film crews near by. The Secret Service is not interested in protecting him anymore.
We are indeed at the threshold of civil war. If anything happens to Trump, that will be the flashpoint.
No one is willing to take out Obama. The left could put out a call this evening for Trump assassin volunteers and have over a million candidates by the end of this weekend.
“Can’t means won’t”
USMC
But if President, they could protect him?
You’re probably right, I hate to say.
Upon election, most of the SS needs to be fired.
And replaced with more worthy agents.
The threat won’t go away after the election
Now is not the time for bravado. Trump should have figured this out after the first attempt. And Vance had better watch his back, too.
No, but at least the secret service won't be responsible for protecting both the incumbent office holders plus their families, and the challengers.
I mean, I kind of get it. A golf course is a very open location and likely is a nightmare to secure completely. During the campaign, they may just ust may lack the assets to do that securely.
Would miniature golfing work?
Lol. I don't think I could take another round of comments about tiny hands, which would be inevitable.
