To say I was not a fan of Jimmy Carter would be an understatement, but today he turns 100. In comparison to Biden and the progressive death grip on today’s Democratic Party, he looks a whole lot better in retrospect. Cy Vance, Harold Brown, and Zbigniew Brzezinski were head and shoulders above Biden’s senior foreign and defense policy appointees Blinken, Austin, and Sullivan.
It is possible to speak well of some of Carter’s deeds (as Phil Gramm does today in the Wall Street Journal), such as deregulating or partially deregulating transportation and other basic sectors of the economy. Here’s a chart of some of Carter’s deregulatory actions and results:

He was the most awful president ever, until 0bummer and then Biden.
He blamed the American people for his own misbegotten and catastrophic economic and foreign policies.
He accused us of having a “malaise”.
Jerk.
A lot of the cause of the disasters today in the mideast can be laid at his feet.
He stood by idly when Khomeini returned from France and took Iran with revolutionary zeal. He could have had the CIA as I ate him in France easily. failing that we should have supported the Shah more. The USSR understood and was clandestinely supporting him.
Instead he did neither and the region was swept by more fundamental Islamic zeal leading to 911, wars etc.
They always talk about how the presidency ages a guy, but unless shot presidents somehow last almost forever.
“ as I ate him‘= assassinate
Got to love autocorrect.
Jimmy Carter: Egypt and Israel Peace Treaty
We will recognize March 26 as the anniversary of peace between Egypt and Israel for which Anwar el-Sadat and Menachem Begin won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1978. Concurrently we will applaud Jimmy Carter's 2002 Nobel Peace Prize for decades of untiring effort to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts such as that.
Nevertheless, we should remember the truly worthy recipient of the three was Anwar Sadat. Through three wars Arab leaders had used Egyptian blood and treasure for vicarious satisfaction of their Jewish hatred which had invigorated their despotic regimes. By conclusion of the 1973 war, Sadat was certain Egypt's price for Arab victory would not only include countless military deaths, but also destruction of the Aswan Dam leading to 100,000's of Egyptian flood victims and catastrophic infrastructure damage.
Sadat brought an end to this waring cycle and looming national catastrophe with his historic trip to Jerusalem on November 7, 1977, and thereby began a process he formalized by signing the Camp David Accords the following September, and the peace treaty of 1979. For his extraordinary statesmanship, the Arab League suspended Egyptian membership. Two years later Sadat was assassinated by an amalgam of Islamic radicals including Ayman al-Zawahiri who came from the Muslim Brotherhood and became a leader of al-Qaeda.
In comparison, Begin risked nothing politically, and Carter just served milk and cookies.

I actually missed those days. Was not a fan of him as president, but I think he’s a world-class person.
Every missile Iran launches against Israel is Jimmy Carter’s fault.
Happy 100th birthday, Jimmy Carter!
The current bozos in the Presidential administration make Jimmy look like George Washington in comparison!
And Jimmy made peace in the Middle East, and paved the way for Ronald Reagan!
Every Dictator’s Favorite Toilet Brush has made it to 100. Gotta give him credit for gang in there.
He’s been living off of the taxpayers for far too long.
Yes, Jimmy “National Malaise” Cardigan’s inflated “misery index” was the springboard for Ronaldus Magnus!
Carter is alive to see the BS he caused in the Mideast.
The only way he’s better is that he’s not senile. That’s not his virtue or his fault. He’s as fanatic a liberal today as he was then. Biden would be if he had his previous mental capacity, never great to begin with.
I have no sympathy for Carter and couldn’t care less that he’s religious and builds houses. He’s a box to check off once he’s gone as one less liberal.
I’m thinking Carter is going to be gone in 2-3 weeks.
Proof positive that the adage only the good die young applies to the presidential set too. If that is the metric, Carter should live to be 200.
Jimmah, you ain’t the worst president anymore. Not by a long shot
5.56mm
Well, his age has far exceeded his IQ.
Carter needs to survive 33 more days to pass Alf Landon, who took the silver medal in the 1936 Presidential election.
