So I have common Bermuda grass (not sure exactly what kind)here in the burbs of hotlanta. I have a crabgrass and clover issue that has been frustrating to control. I’d been using bioadvanced previously and it didn’t control the weeds like I thought it would. My grass is pretty green though. Any recommendations for my lawn that’ll help. My back will appreciate any feedback. Pulling those weeds are a pain.
Here it’s only used mainly in back yards with trees.
Bermuda does not grow in the shade.
Get rid of the bermuda, shade makes it difficult to grow and the weeds take over. Replace with sodded Zeon Zoysia and it will save the issue for at least a couple of years because of its density. Best decision I ever made. It’s also a dwarf grass, so it is drought reisistant. Perfect for Georgia.
The ones I cut about 4 inches with the hush hog seem to then start growing as ground cover. Between those and whoever planted the bamboo from hell, my house would disappear in 10 years if left unchecked. WHO plants bamboo (the type that runs)? I know in the 50s they did some experiments on using bambo for pulp. My guess is it goes back to then.
Your local zoo may buy the bamboo from you.
It’s a fair swap. You spend all your time cutting grass to all your time pulling weeds.
Yes, and it's worth it, so as not to overtreat some areas and miss others.
Quinclorac for post emergent treatment of crabgrass. Nothing else comes close.
Celsius WG for everything else.
I don’t know where a zoo is located. Maybe Birmingham. It’s a weed. Might as well get some kudzu for the back.
Glad to assist, my friend.
