The French Army actually has an honorable WW2 record. Their stubborn rear-guard action at the Siege of Lille in 1940 allowed the majority of the British Army to escape at Dunkirk. And the Maginot Line did not surrender until it was completely surrounded.
But your comment still has merit! The French lost in WW2 because their leadership was terrible. The West is losing now because our leadership is terrible. We are surrendering too. Just in a different way.
