I don’t think of McConnell as a Trump supporter. McConnell really thinks he sees the “larger picture” and that foreign relations has to be conducted properly, with the State Dept and White House, even when they’re total incompetents. I really doubt he believes Trump can survive the election fraud so he doesn’t agree that there’s any purpose to Trump anticipating recreating his early relationships.
