Good for him. These little A-holes have probably been thrown off this place dozens of times already and keep comming back. No one has any respect for private property anymore. Those of you who bash him.... how would you like 6-10 teenagers in your yard every day all summer long, yelling, cussing, leaving their trash all over and hanging out there all hours of the night? Bet you’d be singing a different tune if they were doing it in your back yard.
Because evidently some of them care enough to threaten children over it.

Kids are going to be kids and don't necessarily respect 'adult' boundaries. I personally wouldn't want my kids straying on anyone's private property but kids do stuff like that all the time. Because they're kids. When they grow up and have property of their own they'll be yelling at the kids in their neighborhood soon enough, but hopefully not threatening them.

You have got to be right there. And the article dispells a lot of what happened. Private property is community. If signs were posted, and we don’t know, it would have been obvious. But the “kids” didn’t bother to ask, they just entered an area that was not welcome to them. And then argued about it. They’ve got no argument.
The home owner should not have broke the kid’s pole. He owes him that. But is this the first time this has happened or even the first time with these kids? You’re right, there has to be more to go from zero to broken equipment that fast.
Kids have not been taught that just because you can do it, or no one will question you on it, that it is “legal,” but doesn’t have to be right. And this is an example of it.

Yes. There are private lakes. But in my post, I was careful to say natural lakes, lakes that have been there forever. I cannot see how such lakes can be privatized.

Kids father or a posse needs to kick Chads ass. Grown ups doing that to young kids....they need a lesson. A strong face slapping. And as for the Chad Jr standing by allowing his buddy to curse and assault the kids....he is a pussy as well. If I were a member of the community, I would have the Chad removed from the board....as an officer, Chads actions may cause harm to the association.

With all the gang activity you’d think adults would have the presence of mind to applaud a couple of youngsters doing something as innocent as fish! If the kids were in fact trespassing then there are dozens of far better behaviors than that man demonstrated. If he had a brain he should be very ashamed of himself. Wish I Owned land and had a pond near those kids I’d offer them free fishing for life!!! And buy them both new rods and reels!!
