Wow!
Looked like it (the Russian Corvette Ivanovets) got hit several times.
When will those kids learn to stay out of bad neighborhoods at night?
Still a little foggy on exactly where this happened, regardless not a good look.
Brings up an old question of mine, can anti ship missiles be mounted on small boats.
If the Ukrainians can get these boats all the way to the ship,‘they should be able to easily get them within missile range and do far more damage, while causing massive problems for muskovites trying to deal with this threat
According to the Washington Post, the ship cost between $60-70 Million. They also report:
“The private security firm Ambrey said Ukraine used up to six sea drones, each of which usually carry 300 kilograms (661 pounds) of explosives, in the attack.”
“Russian Black Sea Tarantul-class corvette Ivanovets has sunk after an attack with naval drones”
Kyiv Post reports:
“Ukraine used MAGURA V5 multi-purpose unmanned surface vessels (USV) to sink a Russian missile boat earlier this week, the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR), has revealed.
Kyrylo Budanov told The War Zone that “six direct hits by naval drones were made to the hull of the ship,” adding: “As a result of the damage, the ship rolled astern and sank.”...
...The MAGURA V5’s hydrodynamic body and sleek profile give it a quasi-stealth profile combined with excellent maneuverability.
It is 5.5 meters (18 feet) long and, 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) wide. It has a cruising speed of 22 knots (40.7 kilometers per hour) with a maximum speed of 42 knots (77.8 kilometers per hour) and a range of approximately 833 kilometers (518 miles).
“It is an affordable solution that can be easily launched from any remote location,” its developers, SpecialTechnoExport stated at the International Defense Industry Exhibition in July 2023.”

Bodies and fragments of bodies of 30-35 dead were found at the Novocherkassk landing ship
The ship, which was hit by an enemy missile in December, began to be raised from the bottom in Feodosia. According to Black Sea Fleet sources familiar with the operation, the losses suffered as a result of the strike may be more serious than first thought.
“Unfortunately, everything is very scary. More than 20 bodies of our sailors were found. Many body fragments were also found. It seems that at least 30-35 people died on Novocherkassk. This data will still be clarified, pending examination. Plus, we obviously haven’t found all the bodies and fragments of bodies yet,” said one of our interlocutors.
The figure, he said, cannot be considered final, since “many of the dead seem to have simply burned to death, and, unfortunately, their bodies will never be discovered.”
Let us note that earlier our sources spoke of 23 deaths as a result of the attack on Novocherkassk. According to new data, there may be more victims.
At the same time, fragments of the Caliber missile were found on the ship. This is confirmed by our insider information - these missiles were on Novocherkassk at the time of the attack.
