Yes, it is. I haven’t heard from them, either. So I contacted my younger sister and she provided me with a different phone number but I don’t suppose I’ll ever know if the greetings were received.
The wind has been up all day and the chimes are singing merrily, as if they had reason to!

How did the Scouting for Food drive go? Was there a lot in the way of donations?
Kathleen said they picked up quite a lot. It was being done all over the city today.
I napped in the truck while they were collecting, since I wouldn’t have known where to drive.
We don’t get much traffic in here, it being a cul-de-sac, but I’m sure if it was a nationwide thing, it was fairly successful in this area, as folks have a tendency to give a lot to help those in need.
Now, I’m going to go get out of my day clothes and see how fast I can change to my sleepy things. Actually, it’s my excuse to go read for a couple of hours before my eyelids slam shut!
I already talked to Annette today, and she will pick me up for church in the morning. I hope the rain waits until church is over with!

Thanks! I’m not happy with the embroidery job, but it’s what I have to live with, so I’ll grin and bear it and blame it on my killer clown shoe.
The shower has been had and I have about 30 minutes before I have to go try and cover up the worst of the mess on my face. At least I can wear thermals to church so I’ll be somewhat warm.
It’s going to be mostly cloudy today, with a high only at 50°, so it won’t be a fun day. That’s OK! I have the moon! I’m good!

Desert hot is what keeps me going in the winters, for sure!
I used to tell people that the heat was the main reason I moved to Vegas, and they all thought I was kidding. I wasn’t!

We had a pug that hated the rain. We’d open the door to take him out and if it was raining, he’d give a long snort, then look at us as if to say, “Don’t be an idiot. I’m not going out in that!”

No, and I’ll be very happy for it. The real warmth won’t hit until the beginning of May, and I’ll have to get me a lawn chair for then so I can just sit outside in the shade and soak up the heat!
