I am a Christian because Jesus gave me His free gift of salvation. He made me one of His children.
His children are ONLY those who have accepted Him as their savior, repented of their sins, asked for His forgiveness.
While He created everyone, only those who accept Him as their savior are those He calls His children.
Matthew 7:13-14 NIV
13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Saved Christians, His children, will enter the narrow gate for life eternal with Him in heaven. The rest will enter the wide gate and spend an eternity of suffering in hell.
You choose.
I agree; it is a choice. God is perfect; I am not. How can I have a relationship, and know a perfect God? If I had only one word to describe salvation, I would say, “Reconciliation.”
