That usually comes later. Many studies report that it all begins with something like date rape or forced sex when they were younger by any number of people including relatives. There is no safe harbor and the mental survivor mode activates.
It probably doesn’t help that when they are young and lovely they get hit on multiple times daily which hammers the already damaged psyche. A lot of that behavior is a result of very poor self image because they have been taken advantage of sexually and otherwise most of their entire life, and they feel “dirty” because of it. If they’re brought up in a very religious atmosphere and that happens, they feel like they’re going to hell and there’s no hope. Classic psychological response and damage.
