The press loses its institutional power the moment the public ceases to view it as being separate from government. If politicians aren’t worried about taking a beating in the newspapers, they won’t fear newspapers, and if the public sees that news reports are indistinguishable from party press releases, they’ll eventually skip past media and go straight to the source.

The complicity of the biased leftist mass-media with the current residents of the White House is a huge multi-billion dollar campaign contribution that is allowed to not be considered as such. What would really make the leftists' heads explode would be if the R controlled congress floated a bill to make that illegal. It doesn't even have to become law to make their heads explode.
