Wow - I haven’t had any rust problems and don’t even rinse it off but store in the garage and don’t cut wet grass. I’ve had it since 2017 looks brand new except for being dusty I don’t even sharpen the blade but I probably should

I have a 23 year old Mantis Tiller. Purrs like a kitten with NON-ethanol. Put ethanol in it and it dies every 5 minutes, if that. Even the new stuff runs much better on non-ethanol. Both 2 and 4 cycle.

I use 93 octane gas in my lawnmower. It solves the whole problem of getting it started

I bought a robot lawnmower from Amazon 2 years ago
No more noisy mower with me pushing it. No more inhaling exhaust fumes. The robot is quiet, never strays over boundary wire buried 2 inches under ground, and finds his way back to charging station by himself when battery needs charging. Absolutely impressed with the technology. Best part is the clippings are very small and that minimizes thatch build up. My grass has less weeds and looks healthier.

I inherited my Snapper lawnmower 23 years ago. It's still going strong at 41 years old.

I've replaced the ignition coil, blade, several wheels, and rebuilt the carb several times.

The writing is on the wall, the US Gov will ban small gas engines. You should buy something that will last and can be repaired. I would have bought a new/used replacement deck or even a used mower with engine problems (probably just clogged carb) for cheap. I do my best to avoid buying Chinese.
