Have legitimate concerns about the national debt? Well, you may just be one of those GOP “economic terrorists,” according to New York Times bloviator-in-chief Paul Krugman.
Krugman’s Jan. 19 column spewed bile at GOP congressional members seeking spending concessions from President Joe Biden on the debt ceiling issue. “Don’t Try to Appease Economic Terrorists,” the headline read. Yes, Krugman actually used the word “terrorists.” [Emphasis added.]
He sugar-coated the issue falsely claiming that raising the debt ceiling “simply allows the government to honor its promises, which include everything from paying interest on its debt to sending checks to Social Security recipients.”
He lectured that “[n]o, raising the debt limit doesn’t give the president free rein to spend whatever he wants.” This is just dumb semantics. Raising the debt ceiling ad infinitum gives the government a pass to borrow as much as it wants to service the current debt, thereby sinking the U.S. economy further into debt by racking up the bills (the U.S. national debt is over $31 trillion now).

And this guy won the Nobel prize for Economics.

On FR I had an professional encomiast explain to what Krugman’s Nobel was for - some obscure aspect of international trade and that it was justified. He went on to say other tha that Krugman was a total partisan hack.
Yup. That’s me.

I think Krugman never got over the collapse of Enron, and his role in its demise. Later he tried to pretend he really had little to do with it. But when it was flying high he wasn’t shy about his association with Ken Lay the CEO.
He should be on MSNBC. He says things for attention.

He hasn’t been listening to Biden and noticing the results.
Easy to look up, krugscum says a president Trump will destroy the economy.
So the math goes like this Krugman says x and x is always its opposite of reality. So basically the GOP must be economic saviors.
And Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize for . . . What, exactly?
The Nobel prize people have thoroughly discredited themselves.
The Nobel prizes for science still have some standards as you move away from them it’s more shall we say subjective.
When is Kruggie gonna “suddenly” for the good of the rest of us?
