In the name of diversity, equity, and inclusion, a Connecticut bill would require fire departments to hire female firefighters who aren’t strong enough to do their job.
I’m against this proposal.
As always, I support 100% meritocracy.
For the record, I am male, and I am too weak to pass their strength test. Weaklings like me should not be firefighters. Any woman who is strong enough to pass the test deserves to be hired.
I support meritocracy because I want airplanes that don’t crash, bridges that don’t fall down, doctors who don’t kill their patients, and firefighters who fight fires and save lives.
The order should be D.iversity, I.clusion, E.quity.
The destruction of all that made us great.

When an entity says it is pursuing diversity, it means that it lowering its standards beyond what is acceptable. “Diversity” means “we are putting in unqualified people and pretending they add value.”
In the name of diversity, why isn’t Connecticut lowering or outlawing standards for all medical professionals as well? Really, what is the justification for lowering standards for firefighters in the name of diversity and not similarly for medical professionals?

Someone has to stay at the station and watch the chili on the stove while the men go put out the fire.
So once again the DemoMarxists want people to die as long as they get their freakin’ “equity”. So what if a female can’t lifte a 200 pound guy passed out on the floor, it’s better to let them both die

Around here the Los Angeles Police Department lowered the requirement to scale a six foot wall down to five feet, so that more women could pass the physical test even though most walls in the area are, um six feet high…
So In Springfield Illinois, 2 EMT’s are being charged with first degree murder of a drug overdose person and due to issues I don’t know. They placed the person face down on the gurney. The man eventually died.
So if an EMT can be charged. Only a matter of time before a person dies due to the inability of a female fire person.
You must also be a biologist. /s
Why should someone who stays at the station make as much as those who put their lives at risk?
I remember when the FDNY decided to allow women to apply for firefighters jobs - the ones who most vociferously opposed women in this job were the then-current firemans’ wives. They didn’t want their husbands lives placed at risk for what we now recognized as PC - they were only interested in having the best people work alongside their husbands.
We need to be sure that standards don’t decline, and that anyone who meets those standards gets whatever job or admission for which any particular standard is set.
This has been going on for a long time especially on the West Coast. And people are just now starting to notice? I guess we owe the idiots who wrote this bill some sort of thank you.
