As a former President, remember when Jimmy Carter used to build homes with Habitat for Humanity? Nobody said that was beneath the stature of a President.

Former presidents can either seclude themselves in private enclaves or they can reintegrate into their communities. Carter and Trump have both done the latter. I can't say the same thing for Obama, Bush, and Clinton (unless you count Epstein's island as "integrating)".
