Teachers are held to be above criticism, in general.
Two percent of Teachers in Chicago have been caught engaging in sex acts with adolescents (this is a bit different from pedophilia). This is about same percentage as estimated for priests or married men who are so attracted.
But, since these people have been caught, rather than are simply attracted, it would indicate the percentage among teachers in Chicago is a bit higher (or the opportunities are significantly higher).
Pretty easy to expect from teachers.

Or, school district administrators, who are pedophiles themselves, actively look for twisted sick pedophiles to hire and since there are so many lining up to have easy access to kids, there are plenty of the sickos found in school systems.

If only teachers were allowed to get married, there wouldn’t be this type of problem.

I read Don’s blog daily (except Sunday-he doesn’t post then). It’s a good read and the comments are good as well. He recently started a Substack and today was the first time he posted his “Daily Headlines” post there instead of his blogspot. He posts twice a week on his Substack site.
My high school in the mid 70’s was a teachers / students / cops, bang-fest. Nothing new.
“Fox reported, “An OIG investigation concluded one teacher groomed and sexually assaulted a 17-year-old student three times. That teacher was charged with multiple counts of sexual assault. After a November 2022 trial, the teacher was acquitted on all counts, the report said, despite evidence provided by the student and social media records.”

It’s pretty scary that there could be evidence on social media that supports the charges, but a jury still acquitted the defendant. Of course, I wasn’t on the jury and there may have been evidence showing otherwise that this news report doesn’t mention, but my goodness, look at the number of documented cases of abuse!
Is this one of those “new normal” things we have to get used to? This type of thing really used to be rare and the offender was immediately fired, arrested, and any teaching certificate immediately suspended. Now, it is something your read about daily in the headlines.

I hear a lot of this happening. I understand the sex temptation in some cases, but I cannot understand why they insist on grooming them. Combing their hair first and checking manicures? very odd.
