This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available

Some websites have a “captcha” system that requires the commenter to solve a simple math problem before making a comment.

It’s unlikely the participants in this repetitive nonsense would be able to meet such a task serving to eliminate this ugliness. Maybe the downward trend in traffic would reverse.

Defeating a country with 140 million people that was once considered a world power will never be easy. Hopefully, Ukraine will accomplish it. Imagine how much easier it would be if the West fully supported Ukraine. We in Central and Eastern Europe are doing our best to help Ukraine because we are threatened by the Russian aggression too and we know that is it better to stop Russia now than to fight other wars that will seriously damage other countries.

In the Czech Republic we have increased our arms production twice compared to 2021. In Poland the military industry is going 24/7. Western Europe, however, is still half asleep. The US hasn’t ramped up military production much either. Are the Ukrainians supposed to work miracles? Should they fight the Russians with empty hands?

North Vietnam didn’t “defeat” the US, just wore us down until the war became unpopular enough back home.

Who are those neocons you are talking about? Are they a uniform group? Do some of them support Donald Trump? What do you think about Richard Pipes’s books? What are their strengths and weaknesses? Who was right about the nature of Bolshevism - Richard Pipes or Martin Malia?

The US hasn't ramped up military production much either.

Yes, you are delusional.

The Czech Republic has sent unspecified arms and equipment valued at about CZK 4 billion to Ukraine since the Russian invasion. At the current exchange rate where 1 US dollar buys 25 Czeck Korunas that comes to $161 million. The European Union has promised to pay back 80% of that. That leaves Czeck expenditures thus far at $32 million. In the same period of time the US has sent $15.2 Billion of military equipment to Ukraine and no one is planning on reimbursing us.

The US is spending 475 times more than the Czeck Republic on arms thus far... To put this in perspective. There are currently 800,000 people in all Ukrainian military forces combined including reservists. The US has already spent $19,000 for every person in the Ukrainian military. The Czeck Republic has spent $40 for every person in the Ukrainian military. Yes, that $40 is helping so much that Zelinsky has just announced that he plans to draft men up to age 60.

The Russians know this is a war of attrition and winter is coming. My guess is that they will pull back and let the Ukrainian military starve and freeze over the winter surviving only by robbing civilians blind. By Spring after several months of hardship the Ukrainian people that are left will welcome the Russians as liberators.

RuZZia can’t even outfit the draftees.

“Ukrainian intelligence: Russian conscripts to be equipped with Iranian-made helmets, body armor.

About 1,500 bulletproof vests and 1,500 helmets produced in Iran are already in storage in Russia, ready to be supplied to the Russian army, reports Ukraine’s Defence Ministry.”

"After 6 months natural gas prices in Europe (Amsterdam) undercut again the 100 EUR/MWh line. At his moment the value stands at 98 EUR/MWh. When Nordstream was blown up it was at 210 EUR/MWh. Russia's gas war is slowly ending and Moscow is losing."

Not entirely unrelated...

Does anyone have a reasonably solid source for what the discounts Russia have been giving to China and India are (and have been, if different)? I just heard -$30 / barrel of oil from an acquaintance who’s retired from the biz.

I’d prefer something like a reputable industry publication to back that up, tho’.

Yep, it was $30 at one point - earlier in the war.

I’ll search and post on the subject.

“The US hasn’t ramped up military production much either.”

You are wrong about that. Some of our replenishment processes are automatic, some new contracts have been awarded, and some is built into the annual budget process. American companies have also been ramping up their production for new foreign orders for HIMARS, Javelins and MANPADS. The USA is sending a billion dollars worth of Military gear every week. American support dwarfs that of any other Country.

Per capita, or as a percentage of the budget, Poland and the Baltics are the big heroes.

The main countries that have been slow-rolling the Ukraine have been Germany and France. In recent days, Germany expressed their intent to cut back on Military spending.

Czechia is one of those European Countries that chronically refuse to pay for their own defense (1% of GDP), but still feels morally entitled to lecture the USA that it should do more for them.

Quick search says, India/China were getting a discount of $30 earlier in the war with discount currently around $20.

September 30 article:

“At one point Russian Urals crude was more than $30 a barrel cheaper than Brent crude (the global benchmark). By the end of September it was around $20 a barrel cheaper.”

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-60783874

Article from September:

“Russia’s discount bonanza for India

In May, supplies from Russia were priced at $16 cheaper than the average Indian imported crude oil barrel of $110. In all, Russia has so far reduced $30 on every barrel of oil it sells to India.”

https://qz.com/russia-is-offering-india-more-crude-oil-discount-1849523766

September article:

“Since the invasion, Russian oil has traded at discounts of as much as $30 a barrel compared with Brent crude, the international benchmark. “

https://www.ft.com/content/b38d3ab5-ea57-400e-87e9-f48eaf3e0510

From June:

“India’s getting its oil from Russia at 30 per cent below the Brent crude price, which is the main global benchmark of oil prices. Brent crude prices are currently at $120 so India could be getting its crude at below $90.”
