hey guys with daughters, can you imagine any situation where this would be OK?

Well, I think it is absolutely fine... Daughter is one year old, dad is in the shower and mom hands the baby to him and says “here honey, can you wash the baby while you are in there?” I think that is one situation that I think is ok of a dad showering with his daughter. This all comes down to how old the child is and very clearly, showering with a one year old daughter is fine.... showering with a 10 year old is not. I think the line gets crossed before the daughter is two.
I was a single Dad for years. I had to teach my daughter to shower and wash her hair. I always made it clear that her body was private. Sure, when she was in diapers I saw her tons, but once she was able to speak and communicate, her shower time was very unshared. I stayed in the room and passed her things around the shower curtain such as shampoo, and later the most challenging thing that I ever had to do in my life was get her hair looking proper for school.
Those were tough times for me.
We got through it. Praise God.
My husband showed with my daughter. That ended just before she turned 2.
I don’t consider that even safe.
Wet, soapy babies are slippery and if someone is showering, how are you supposed to hold onto the baby and bathe it with only two hands? There’s no way I can see of giving a baby a decent bath with one hand while holding it with the other. Even as a mom, I never would have done that.
A bath in the kitchen sink is about the most convenient way to bathe a 1 year old.
