If I had to bet, I’d say this report is a lot more accurate than the MSM cheering of the glorious Ukrainians and their easy victory over the incompetent Russians. That one doesn’t make sense to me.
It appears the Russians are using our version of “shock and awe” by avoiding large civilian casualties; avoiding WW II type bombing of cities; using very selective attacks and NOT targeting mass infrastructure that would lead to high casualties. They apparently learned that while this won’t keep the rest of the world, or the West, out entirely, it will minimize the outrage.
We’ll see though. Virtually all of the news is fake. For having 50,000 men inside Ukraine, there is almost zero footage of combat (far less than in Iraq) including cell phones.

The main thing is that, as far as I know, we all assumed that it was planned to be a Blitzkrieg-type takeover of Ukraine, but the Russians never published a timetable. So to say they’re losing on the battlefield might be a bit premature.

The problem for me, at least, is that Ukraine is a small to medium sized country in the middle of nowhere, yet I kept hearing about it with regard to the Bidens, and Trump’s impeachment, and it looks like the Dems (and Romney) had a great scheme going there to launder money to their families.
So forgive me if I have little sympathy for the government in Kiev. I usually root for the underdog, because it’s more fun, but Ukraine chose to take a side in the politics of the United States and we’ve been paying the price ever since. Whatever the government there is replaced with will be an improvement for the United States, and that is ALL that I give a crap about.
The Russians still have access to China for transactions with the West, also have access to SWIFT for energy and raw materials transactions, and still have Hunter to go through. Want to end this? Cut off all energy and raw materials transactions with Russia and start progressively stricter sanctions on China for providing Russia access to their markets (and add one day per incursion of Taiwanese air and sea defense zones).

This appears to me to scare tactics to try to convince the West not to arm the Ukrainians. Elon Musk has provided phones, and probably a few other things, and the Ukrainians in any event are very tech saavy, as tech is their third largest export.
