I looked up the name of the person on my email, and it appears to be from an attorney that works for the Chief Legal Counsel of the parent company that owns the company I work for. This is not an HR person. Now I am more concerned that this may be a set up!
So if you are denied your exemption what is your fallback plan?

I must wonder if a person should have legal counsel involve when communicating with a lawyer. I do not trust lawyers anymore.
