If the doctor’s office continues to use a pronoun other than “she” or “her” for your daughter, file a complaint with your state medical board, and get a new doctor, who is not a flaming woketard.

The use of “they” in that context is grammatically proper. I am not sure why you ar triggered over that.

#2: “file a complaint with your state medical board, and get a new doctor, who is not a flaming woketard.”

Excellent advice.

If I am forced to choose a pronoun it will be “Massah.”

Do you think her daughter is plural? Her daughter is a she, NOT a they.

This is a girl

Little things like this do make a difference. It’s like a telephone tree that starts off: “Hola. Por favor presione 1 para inglés”.

The people who are exceptions to the rule can make the extra effort and levy their extra demands. I’m normal. I’m standard. I don’t want to be treated like an outlier.

The subject is a daughter, not a group of daughters.

Any chance it’s just a standard “One size fits all” form letter, needing only an examinee name and perhaps a date?

If English is not your first language I would understand your complete ignorance to how it works.

In this context, the use of they are a pronoun is grammatically correct.

“The customer forgot his umbrella in the restaurant. They are coming back for it.”

You guys are as triggered as the gays.

This has been drilled into their minds for 20+ years. When I was a psych student in college back in the late 90s, the use of gender-neutral pronouns was strongly suggested. Nowadays they’re doing it to CYA.

Using “they” implies a diagnosis of schizophrenia with multi-personality disorder. For either the person using “they” or the child.

“The customer forgot his umbrella in the restaurant. They are coming back for it.”

That works for the generic customer.

But it reads less well to say: “Sally forgot their umbrella in the restaurant. They are coming back for it.”

That's very forced and artificial. The words "she" and "her" are OK. We can use them.

Why is that grammatically proper?

"Based on N's physical exam and well visit, they may participate..."

The use of “they” in that context is grammatically proper. I am not sure why you ar triggered over that.

Wrong. N is singular. There is no instance in the English speaking world in which "they" is correct in this context.

Similarly, "ar" is never grammatically proper.

Why is a plural pronoun acceptable, when the subjective noun is not specified? I personally write likewise.
