Actually that is a self-refuting statement. (Although I agree that this is nothing but fear porn) People live and die. Some get sick and die, but we’re all going to go eventually. Covid is 99.97% survivable. Or so some say. Why should we fear it so much more than other threats?
99.7% is lowballing it pretty bad. Until they get a handle on how many people in the population have had this thing and shown no symptoms. We cannot know what piece of a percentage the mortality rate is. Going by studies of the SARS problem of some years ago, that 99.7 should be more like 99.95 or more. That 99.7 is of diagnosed cases. Probably substantially fewer than half have been or will be diagnosed.

I’m not trying to intentionally be infected, but I do live my life as normally as possible, and have since this travesty began, and if that results in infection, then so be it. I’d rather be inoculated naturally via infection, than have a mystery serum plunged in my arm.
And maybe your idea isn’t a bad one. Just have Covid Parties like they did with us kids in the ‘50s and ‘60s for measles, mumps, and chicken pox.

hey agree that EVEN BEFORE THE VACCINE, the survival rate was 99.97%. What they’re arguing is that if everyone gets vaccinated, the survival rate would shoot up significantly higher than 99.97%, maybe 99.9997%

Not sure what is implied by ‘be very very careful’ comment. I feel about mandatory vaccines the same way I feel about cakes and masks - the individual business has a right to set their own rules. I’d be surprised if a FReeper advocated against that right.
In the US there are 30mm confirmed cases and 600,000 deaths. The death rate is 2 percent. Survival rate if everyone got it is 98% not 99.7 percent. You can speculate about non-symptomatic cases, but in NYC .45% of the population died, Did everyone in NYC get COVID? Of course not. Keep spreading the manure though.
The survival rate for under 60 is near 100%.

what about those countries not tied into hate trump and not likely get kickbacks from vaccine manufacturers that allow ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine sold over the counter? wonder what their rate would be..
