I should note that the XD and the Glock’s striker fire system are different and the XD is more like the 1911. The Glock only half-cocks the striker when you actuate the slide; pulling the trigger finishes cocking the striker then releases it to fire the weapon. On the XD, the slide fully cocks the striker and the trigger only releases it. The trigger is much better as a result.

We own 3 XD pistols. Excellent reliability, decent out of the box trigger, and a darned good value for the money. Especially so if you can find a used one.

All of ours are chambered in .45.
