My wife has an M&P Shield. To be honest, it isn’t a bad gun. Has been reliable with the exception of some steel-case ammo which was a bit finicky; but since it doesn’t get carried with steel-case, not the end of the world.
I just picked up a Walther PDP as I wanted an optics-ready pistol; and that is a real nice shooting handgun. Trigger is even nicer than a PPQ, and even edges out my VP which is my preferred carry.
I got a used Canik for real bargain. (under $170 out the door). It is amazingly accurate and hasn’t hung up once, even with reloads and crap loose ammo. Highly recommend them.
We are standardized on the M&P 9mm in our family. Multiple shields and Compact versions. EDC is the shield. Shoots reasonably well and is easy in the hands for everyone.
No, it can't. Nothing will accidentally get in there. If you stick your finger in there, then you intend to fire the weapon. If you don't, then your finger doesn't belong in there.
Safety mechanisms won't keep you from F***ing up. I have a gun range on my place that I used to open to the public. All the accidental discharges I witnessed were with guns that had multiple safety mechanisms.
Nice! Was thinking of getting the EZ for my wife.
S W M&P2.0 4.25 barrel in a 9. 17+1 in the mag, and mags were cheap, but sadly lost in a boating accident. LOVED IT, it is accurate, easy to rack and simply beats everything I have tried. Which was a Ruger and a Glock. The Kimber .45 is nice, but for the difference in price? Can’t touch it. Of course my wife has the Kimber, and boy can she hit a fly in the eye.
We have multiples of that, plus a bit of the .556. in the cans.
Do not rack a cartridge into position to be shot until necessary if you want a safety. It works 100% of the time.

Up to the point they come off they do. After that it’s Katie bar the door!
I don’t own a Glock, but I’ve shot them a few times. Nice, just not for me.
Favorite pistol is my Beretta PX4 Compact. 9mm is my favored caliber.
You can do a quick Google search or look on YouTube if you want visual proof. Current Kimbers are far worse built than even the cheap RIA guns.
Yes, on their wheel guns too. They had some huge firing pin problems until recently, and the early guns locked up solid while being fired.

Sig or Springfield Armory. Both excellent weapons.
From what I’ve seen lately, just producing a handgun has a profound effect on the vermin.
