How the Greens Are Taking Down Big Energy From Within
The American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property ^ | June 14, 2021 | John Horvat II

The left exploits the Green Revolution to further its ecological agenda of destroying the present economic system. Its special target has long been Big Oil, which plays a dominant role in the global economy. Bolstered by the support of Big Media, Green activists are trying hard to bring the present system down.

The Greens’ relentless war on oil and gas usually involves a battle of data and reports. For decades, the left has presented the inconvenient truth of dire hockey-stick-graph predictions that are constantly pushed back when doomsday fails to arrive. The oil companies defend themselves by pointing to their conservation efforts and impressive record in safeguarding the environment.

This lopsided battle between Tiny Green and Big Oil was doomed to fail—until now. However, Greta Thornburg or other strange poster children are not the ones responsible for any victories.

The secret weapon is that Big Oil is now going green. Shareholding activists seek to force energy giants to change sides and reimagine themselves by transitioning into carbon suppressors to reach zero-emission goals. The only way to do this is to make the companies do it themselves from the inside.

How Oil Lost Its Edge

From a technical perspective, things could not be better for oil in general. The peak oil hypothesis that the world would soon run out of crude is hopelessly outdated and discredited. No one talks about it anymore. The world has more oil than ever. Fracking has increased the supply and reversed America’s decline in oil and gas production. America now leads the world in the production and export of some grades of oil and natural gas.

Exxon going woke. I predict it will eventually collapse on itself, as renewables are still not ready for mass market prime time.

Global Warming PING!

"Fracking has increased the supply"

It is horizontal drilling technology from the 80's+ that has been a game changer for supply.

*As a Pet Peeve, it is Frac'n, not Fracking.

The leftists figured out long ago that the key to their agenda is INFILTRATION. They attend Ivy League Universities and insert themselves into corporate America which they loath. Quietly rise through the ranks while more and more of their fellow Marxists follow until their numbers within corporate America are large enough then they assert themselves. Both within the company and within the BoD’s.
This is the same model they used to infiltrate the Education System to take control of the minds of our children. Ditto our Religious Institutions and, finally, their last target, the US Military.
Meanwhile, Patriotic Americans were asleep at the switch. And still are. The Vast Majority of Patriotic Americans still to this day want simply to be left alone to live their lives and raise their families. Most simply do not want to deal with any involvement in this neverending fight for our country and its freedoms. The Leftists realized this weakness long ago have exploited it to maximum advantage. One day the, Just Leave Me Alone people will wake up and realize their entire world has been taken over by the Left while they were asleep at the wheel.

Everybody globally is putting their cards on the table and showing just who they really are. Vote with your wallet as you know all you need to when this crap comes up and in your face they are playing you.

Energy companies exist to make money. If the government hijacks the market and makes green stuff worthwhile financially, then Exxon etc will be glad to turn green. They will still produce oil, but they will follow the money. As they should.

Well, I usually don’t get gas from Exxon, and will continue not to get gas from Exxon, since Exxon is bound to run out of gas for good.

Taking down big energy is like taking down all of society. Society cannot exist without the support of energy. the upgrading of our infrastructure, for instance, depends on the availability of energy.

Algore has a net worth of $300 million now. Not too shabby for a guy who flunked out of law school and has never held a real job.

From the article…..”Part of the unthinkable happened just recently when a little hedge fund, un-ecologically called Engine No. 1, turned the corporate system against itself. It presented a Green-friendly slate of four candidates for election to Exxon’s 12-member board. Three were elected and promise to push their agenda to center stage.

Not surprisingly, the tiny fund with an infinitesimally small stock holding in Exxon made common cause with massive blue state pensions funds (New York and California) who voted for the candidates. These giant funds see no hypocrisy in holding vast numbers of shares in unclean energy while capitalizing on its ill-begotten oil profits.

Big Money piled on the eco-assault. Vanguard, State Street and Black Rock, with a combined ownership of over one-fifth of all Exxon stock, supported part of the Green slate.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Beware the ‘institutional investors’. Ever wonder why big corporations would send vast amounts of money to groups like Burn/Loot/Murder? Yup… forced to by their institutional investors. Watching what folks like BlackRock and Vanguard are doing is unbelievable…. They are attempting to take the companies they invest in out of existence. At that point, there has to be another agenda at play that they are very confident about because success normally isn’t done with suicide being part of the MO…..
There is a technology that’s currently being developed called
“enhanced geothermal systems”
The idea behind the system is to make it economic to drill for geothermal energy anywhere at market competitive prices using the same technology as fracking.
So that all the skills accumulated by the oil industry can be transferred to the geothermal industry
You are probably correct, but the woke won't care as long as green policies work as intended: impoverishment of the middle class followed by one party rule.
