For American workers, it's the same economic dynamic seen in the antebellum South, where "poor white trash" got so very rich (/sarc) competing against enslaved African-Americans held in bondage on the plantations. There's a reason they were called "poor white" with "trash" thrown on, or, if they were slightly richer, then "crackers."

Joe himself has apparently decided, as of this writing, to keep President Trump's China tariffs on solar panels on, supposedly to even the field, but he's now being lobbied heavily, by China-linked business interests, the kind who "employ" energy gurus like Hunter Biden, to drop them.
Supposedly, such import tariffs even the field, but it's likely it won't — not when you pay your labor force zero, and have already conquered eight out of the top ten U.S. solar panel companies in the market.
Even the New York Times has noticed, claiming that China's Solar Panel Industry "presents Biden with an ugly dilemma." Ya think?
Anyone think Biden will hold off forever against the lobbyists, given his record? Why the hell does he let anything made with slave labor into this country? This stuff shouldn't be tariffed; it should be banned.
This one needs to be an election issue from Republicans pronto. And it can't happen soon enough.

Hey that would be a good job for Hunter if he could be trained to “Push that button on command and then when the computer says push the next button, push it. Even the smartest man Joe knows can handle that job.
I recently bought USA made solar panels for my RV, and they were about 25% more expensive than imported panels. Worth it to me. It’s getting to the point where people need to put their money where their mouth and quit feeding the monster that will one day devour us. Obviously I can’t say everything I buy is made here, but I make an effort on pretty much every single purchase. First I look for made in USA, then allies, then anywhere but China.
This whole solar thing is such a RACKET it is disgusting.
I tried to import some by the rules. That was so FUBAR’ed I gave it up. The Americans that have the money to post bonds, in order to import, then turn around, and screw you! You are paying them for them jumping through some government hoops, not for any value added effort.
No panels are made in the USA, they are assembled here. EPA chased off all the wafer people with regulation and political science(EPA wouldn’t know real science if it jumped and bit them).
It is all Democrat BS! If we were to get rid of that ball and chain(Democrats), this country would rocket into the future.

I did finally find some panels for $0.60 per Watt, delivered to Hilo, HI harbor. I bought the 10.6 kW they had left.
There have been several articles and threads about the Chicoms and solar panels being built by slave Uyghurs. What they all fail to mention is the forced sterilization of the Uyghurs. Once all the slave Uyghurs have been literally worked to death, the Uyghur ‘problem’ will be ‘solved.’ I sure that LeBron and company will have a ‘benefit’ or something.
Solar Cells need a lot of energy to be made. Because of the “green” policies, they cannot be made in Europe and they are going out of business in the US.
Only China, with its ever increasing fossil fuel production, can make the panels.
The biggest problem is that the opposition party is for the most part a Gang Of Progressives, too.
Republicans were so-called “progressives” first. The Democrats though have never done anything half way. Thus there were the Me-Too Republicans who flailed around in testicle-less impotence trying to out progressive FDR.
My daughter finished her 6 month $10k coding boot camp in February 2020. Then Covid hit and employers stopped hiring. She’s still looking for a coding job but now she’s forgotten half of what she learned.
They don’t care about anyone or anything other than their own pocketbook and their own power. That is all. That is the reason I quit the Republican Party and became a dreaded Independent. I vote for the person or issue. No good candidate, I skip that part of the ballot and move on. Sorry, I have QUIT voting for the LESSER of two evils. That just gives them the strength they want as we vote for them even though they suck or screw us in the ground. I want them to see they are getting less votes than usual and the vote turn out was more than what they got. That shows them they are losing their strength. Say you have 1,000 total voters at your polls. Say 800 of those are Republican. That would be true around my area. Say your guy normally gets 600 of those votes in an election. Well if we quit kissing their @$$e$ and they got only 450 of those votes and barely sneaked in. Maybe they start to pay attention that 150 of us said enough is enough and didn’t vote for THEM or the other guy. If they lose, they lose and it sucks for a couple of years. But, I am tired of these Aholes screwing us and getting elected because we just vote for them anyway. I am DONE with anyway and lesser of two evils. Either you are at or near of what I believe and like or you simply don’t get my vote anymore. Sorry, but in my old age, I have voted for these people long enough. I decided on my own one man protest against these Ahole Republicans.
