“Been saying it for awhile now, the left are engaged in an al. Out hostile takeover of this country. They don’t give a rip about rules, laws, the constitution, nothing. They are hell bent on dominating this country and making everyone else’s life miserable...The left used to at least disguise their intentions... no more! They are out for revenge and domination.”
I’ve known it for decades as I hunted down their writings and went to their ‘teach-ins’, but we are the RARE EXCEPTIONS.
Many people here, and most Republicans overall, are simply UNABLE to accept how they’re viewed by the Left. The people on our side are nice, honest, honorable people, and so it’s perfectly logical to project the same on our political opponents. And that is, by far, our GREATEST WEAKNESS. It was exactly the same weakness that the Jews had 100 years ago:
“Oh, it can’t get any worse. Hitler is just a fool, being silly to get attention, he’s harmless. After all, he’s German, the most cultured, advanced, people in the world! What REALLY matters is this inflation, and since Hitler promised to end it (which he did, by the way), he’s got my vote!!!”
— or maybe —
“I don’t care if Hitler says he’s going to throw us all in ovens, I’ll deal with that when it happens. What REALLY matters is this horrible economy we have!”
Orthodox Conservatism is an enemy to the American people.
It has brought us endless war, open borders, unfair trade and surrender to domestic commies. It is the intellectual center of globalism.
They became the enemy of their own nation.
Conservatism without nationalism is like faith without works. And of no use to anyone.
“It will never be taken over IMO...The formation of a new party dedicated to conservative ideals is the only real alternative.”
That was certainly the case before Trump - but I’ll give him a chance before splitting our vote and letting the Democrats have total control.
I believe Stefanik has a lifetime ACU rating of around 65 or 70. If somebody can get the exact number because I can't bring their pages up with my browser right now, that would be great.
Add to that Stefanik voted pro MAGA and was out front on the issues of the impeachment scam, the election steal and Russia Russia Russia scam.
Bachman apparently writes that all of that is equivalent to the "garden variety Democrat", which of course it isn't.
And BTW, I'm tired of establishment hacks, Cheney, McCarthy, McConnell...etc, voting conservative 90% of the time but then folding when it really matters.

It’s interesting and true. But, from a completely different perspective, the GOP “establishment” has always been the norm of the party and it’s the new Trump voters that are new/different
After the ‘60s and 70’s the southern white working class that USED to be democrats shifted to republicans and Goldwater’s movement solidified that, (also all the 90’s Waco Clinton stuff and everything else). Then right when the party decided it had to modernize for widespread appeal and shifting demographics, it instead took a hard turn for Trump and his immigration policies because of these same voters
Now this same demographic has amnesia and doesn’t realize they were never Republicans in the first place and mistakingly think the party left them or it has somehow changed
Agreed. I think the Canadian, Bachman, doesn't understand that.
… It didn’t suck under President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who presided over a postwar era of peace and prosperity …. . . but also a corresponding expansion of government, the interstate highway system being the least of that expansion. But like Eisenhower aide Arthur Larson wrote in A Republican Looks At His Party (whose title mirrors that of left-winger and likely Soviet spy Dean Acheson’s book A Democrat Looks At His Party), “If a job has to be done to meet the needs of the people, and no one else can do it, then it is the proper function of the federal government”—criticized by the Goldwater book The Conscience of a Conservative as “propound(ing) the first principle of totalitarianism: that the State is competent to do all things and is only limited in what it actually does by the will of those who control the State.” So RINOism does certainly date back to that era.
… It didn’t suck when it fought segregationist Democrats to ensure equal application of the law. It didn’t suck when it fought against communism for half a century, and then won. …But nothing was done to halt the creation of the United Nations, with a charter patterned after Stalin’s USSR constitution and a mandate to eventually become the one-world government dreamed about by leftists—and the possibility of ending communism (which we did not win against, since Red China carried on after the USSR’s breakup and Bill Clinton along with his successors save Trump gave aid and comfort to, to the point of allowing them to expand their power to the level of threatening the entire Pacific possibly) died with its creation.
Because of the way our elections work, 51% being the winner, both parties are big tent organizations. Whereas the core of each party is, about 35% liberals for the Dems and 22% conservatives for the Republicans. So, in order to win an election, a politician has to appeal to enough of the people who are not natural members of their party to turn the stomachs of those people who are natural members. This creates a lot of difficulties for those politicians who are conservative as they must appeal to people many in their 22%, or so, (give 0r take) would like to shoot, shovel and shut up about. That’s just the nature of the beast.
I see orthodox conservatism as the result of our Founders.
The GOP, as much as it sucks is the closest thing to that original American heartbeat. It contains elements of libertarianism, conservatism and American nationalism and pride, with the best way to allow individuals the liberty to live as they wish and be free.
Sure, the Republican hierarchy has screwed the pooch, but it is our best way, at least for now, to restore America and made it great again.
Sorry, no more votes for weak do nothing republicans.
They are the ones enabling democrats.
Yeah, that it does. I left the Democrat Party 25 years ago.
I wonder more than ever these days why I bothered.
A new party that is truly dedicated to conservative ideals would render the GOP a useless shell of a party (which some would argue that it already is). I mean, who would support the GOP if there was a viable alternative? Nobody that I know would.
I short, I don’t see the vote being split because the new party would quickly replace the GOP thereby restoring a true two party system. All we have now is the Uniparty.
I actually like that song. But then again my musically tastes are deplorable.
I’m not a big fan of Stefanik, but I’d point out that ACU ratings can be highly misleading because they are largely based on an establishment GOP definition of “conservative.”
If you gave Donald Trump an ACU rating based on his 2016 campaign and his four years in office, he’d probably get a grade no higher than 50.
[[The people on our side are nice, honest, honorable people, and so it’s perfectly logical to project the same on our political opponents.]]
Yup- That pretty much sums it up-
I disagree with you.
Seditious scum such as Mitt Romney, Lindsey Graham, Ben Sasse, Liz Cheney, Nikki Haley, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Mitch McConnell, Marco Rubio, etc. want Patriotic Americans re-educated or dead.
RINO’s are Demonrats in disguise.
The GOP is much closer to the founding ideals of this country — in terms of a “corporate” oligarchy serving as the dominant force in government — than most conservatives realize.
Whole lot of sucking going on. The situation is who sucks less?
Sucking varies over the entire scheme of life. Pick your on so
you can enjoy your sucking. Don’t suck on things you don’t like.
[[Shakespeare pointed out, brevity is the soul of wit.]]
I believe it took him 3 hours to explain what he meant- j/k
