The fact that politicians on both the left and right think they can print money and keep deficit spending forever with no consequence should be enough to clue anyone in that it’s a bad idea.
I mean, most ideas politicians have are pretty bad, but when you get every politician agreeing on an idea, it has to be REALLY bad.

Somehow, I don't believe this is the first time Pearlstein has seen the light about deficit spending.
He probably spent his career at the Washington Compost pushing the idea for the democRATS and now that he is "outgoing", he wants to get right with his conscious before leaving.
