Impeachment 2.0 Opens Door to Election Fraud Trial
Vanity

Posted on 01/13/2021 5:08:28 PM PST by TigerClaws

Text of impeachment at link and below. Power to subpoena, call witnesses, and Dems can’t stop it at this point.

Can also go for weeks with the trial and eat up Biden’s first 100 days.

Could this boomerang on Dems?

From the House impeachment:

On January 6, 2021, pursuant to the 12th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, the Vice President of the United States, the House of Representatives, and the Senate met at the United States Capitol for a Joint Session of Congress to count the votes of the Electoral College. In the months preceding the Joint Session, President Trump repeatedly issued false statements asserting that the Presidential election results were the product of widespread fraud and should not be accepted by the American people or certified by State or Federal officials.

“In the months preceding the Joint Session, President Trump repeatedly issued false statements asserting that the Presidential election results were the product of widespread fraud and should not be accepted by the American people or certified by State or Federal officials.”

False statements, eh. And what the frack is that supposed to mean.

Not necessarily true. Schumer, as the new majority leader, will determine rules for the trial. It may be as one sided as the process in the House, with only democrats presenting evidence. What the prior rules were for Clinton and Trump 1.0 can be changed, and likely will be.

This impeachment will be like the last. THEY call the witnesses THEY want and the President doesn’t get to present a Defense.

I highly doubt this as the hypocrats will likely set the rules for the trial.

Democrats can vote to not allow any witnesses like the Republicans did in Trump’s first impeachment trial. In the first trial, the Senate just admitted the evidence that was in the House. Democrats may not be smart enough to use this option.

So your saying if part of the articles included false statements about fraud that during trial he can show evidence his statements were true by showing the fraud. The same evidence they said was debunked and not real evidence. Only chance is the 15th they are supposed to do audit of Folsom county ballots.

And Chairman Xi is being represented by Saltwell, thus the Chicoms get a vote in this impeachment fantasy/foolishness...trying to find the right word to follow “impeachment”

I spent a about 20 months in the Brooklyn Naval Yard many years back.
Enjoy the time up there as I enjoy the city events especially sporting.
We had free admission to most of the events so I enjoyed a lot of them.

I thought Derschowitz said you could not have such a trial after the man leaves office.
