Looking at the whole of the last four years, how will history judge Mike Pence?

Would he a good candidate in 2024? Would he want to be?

What about Ted Cruz?

Or Josh Hawley?

Could Donald Trump come back?

Forget this "new party" nonsense. Even Perot couldn't pull that off in 1992. There's a reason Trump ran & won as a Republican. We must continue to build on the America First agenda and that direction for the GOP.

Push out GOPe just like happened in 2010 with all those TeaParty Patriot candidates.

As far as I am concerned, The Hill doesn’t exist. I don’t pay attention to you. Your babble has no bearing on me.

Hard to say how the Left's history will judge Pence but he's done alright as VP in my book. I never saw him a winning presidential candidate, an heir apparent.

I'm interested in Cruz and some others for '24 but '24 is a ways down the road. I am NOT interested in Trump in '24. It's time for the movement to move beyond the man.

It always had to grow beyond Trump whether he won reelection or he didn't. I am not interested in any of the family as candidates. I've never liked "dynastic" politics whether Kennedys or Bushes or (Duncan) Hunters or Clintons or whoever.

Donald Trump will be too important to be President. If not Trump, I would say Ron Desantis

I think the widespread nature of the Unity Party reaches into each state now, and probably half of each state GOP authority is compromised (you see this especially in Virginia and Penn). The inclusion of Tea Party individuals will only be allowed to a certain degree....to make you think something is occurring.

Perot’s ‘dip’ into politics was more of a slam against George Bush than anything else. Beyond screwing Bush, he had zero interest in winning.

The people who were TEA Party types waited for their leader and when he arrived it was Trump.

The Country Club-Never Trumper crowd hated Reagan and all the Reaganites, despised the TEA Party and now they despise Trump and all his supporters.

Deep in their heartless hearts they know that they could never get anywhere near the support Reagan and Trump have gotten. They would NEVER get a landslide and 80 million + votes.

It is OUR Party. We built it from the ground up. And, they will never be able to get control of it EVER AGAIN.

Trying to treat GOP as a monolith is common view. That is, the conception that either we have to change GOP as a whole or not. There are state legislatures. They all have apparatus of political party. Change should be done one state GOP by another.

This is better than creating a new party encompassing the entire country or trying to change the character of entire party. Pick up pieces you want and build up. If some are not to your liking, push them aside. The result can be a new overhauled party or a part of what it used to be. Make a new collection of state GOP as big as possible. Then move on.

Sadly Trump, VP, Mike Pence has just ended his political career by announcing that he would attend the Biden Inauguration. I like Mike Pence....he was a great VP to Trump, but, attending the inauguration of a man, Democrat, Joe Biden who stole the 2021 POTUS, election is a mortal sin IMHO!!! Sadly Pence is finished!!!

Who or what was the GOP?

There are a few good conservatives, but it seems the GOP plays as the Washington Generals to the Democrats Harlem Globetrotters.

The GOP Establishment has ruined the GOP brand, frankly. At least for me. See: Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, etc.
