The California State Bar has released the results from the October 2020 online bar exam. The overall pass rate was 60.7%, up 10.6 percentage points from last year's July exam. For California ABA-accredited law schools, the pass rate for first time test-takers was 84%, up 13 percentage points from 2019. A bar accredited lawyer is about as good as a technical school graduate is to the trades to the leagal profession. So there is more people for the firms not to hire.
The bar does need fees and magazine subscriptions. They are very much like the NRA, spend money like druken sailors on themselves, a bit in legislative action and ignore the membership actual needs.
