Without irony, people observing the exodus claim it must be because conservatives want to stay in their own echo chambers, and surely theres truth to wanting to be with like-minded people. Thats why the Left loves legacy social media. They run it, contour content to their way of thinking, and censor, report, and hector people who dont think like them. This may sound like a Leftist love-fest, and it is, but being a conservative on these social media sites is like going to dinner at your sisters, where she thinks its perfectly OK to call you a ho because you disagree with her.

From the article; “Parler, MeWe, Rumble, and Gab are blowing up in subscriptions.”
my sister says my niece, who’s 17, doesn’t any of the big social media platforms with her friends...I don’t know what they’re on now but they almost never use email, fb or twitter.
I sense a great disturbance in the force as if 70m subscribers cancelled their Facebook/Twitter accounts...
I pray Twater and FB go down in flames
My BAD, edit to ...
If you, as a company, declare half of the population is reprehensible, irredeemable and cis-something, then complain when you[r users and dollars] flee to other platforms, you may be (h/t Jeff Foxworthy) a LEFTIST!
Teens I know (primarily boys) are using Instagram and Discord.
There needs to be a platform that doesn’t give in to the porn industry.
Any site that allows that will eventually rot and become a lefty haven.
I decided to liberate myself from the Twitter and Facebook Gulags a couple of years ago.
Finding places like Gab, Parler and MeWe has been quite liberating as well as being informative and amusing. Just scratching the surface of Rumble.
Twitter, Facebook etc....
I think she said they use instagram...but maybe snapchat was another?
and the rest i didn’t know of
don’t know what Discord is either :)
i wish it was in numbers that could kill twitter.
btw, twitter was a Horrific investment if bought very early on...it’s gone nowhere really
Wondering which fascist billionaire will buy Parler....?
I’m getting the hell away from Google for a number of reasons. Today was a great catalyst—I heard Giuliani on the David Webb Show this morning, and decided to Google Rudy Giuliani to see what the wider world was saying. To say that the news articles that popped up were hostile to Giuliani is putting it mildly. Do the same search on DuckDuckGo or even Bing, and the headlines are significantly more even-handed. Not great, mind you, just not quite as bad.
My business has been on G Suite because it was well-priced and had a more convenient browser-based interface, but since then I’ve learned that Google is probably not only reading my emails, but reading voicemail transcripts and using the data not only to direct ads to me, but to direct ads for competitors to my clients.
The “Don’t Be Evil” company has gotten just a little too evil for me. Who would have thought MICROSOFT would be a more palatable option...
So the media has no idea why some people don’t support oppressive left-wing corporate authoritarianism and their war against free speech?
My son is 15, my daughter is 18. Both of them are big Discord users (they even have me using it). When I asked them about Facebook/Twitter, my son said they were for “older people”. lol
You mean away from Dan Bongino?
Is Bongino the owner of Parler?
America means free speech, even if you don’t like it!!
At least a major shareholder, if not outright owner
lol
Big technology changes used to happen every 20 years.
Now it’s every 2 or 3.
Can’t keep up with the kids!!
That’s nice that you have kids that age.
I don’t have kids but I remember being a kid and it was a happy time for both kids and parents.
Never without troubles, such is life.
But a busy household is a fun household :)
