The Leftist POLITCAL pandemic with it’s Anti-Trump Re-election Virus and opportunity to implement draconian totalitarian unconstitutional government measures on the people is in full swing.
We don’t want to “control” the pollical pandemic, we want to utterly wipe it out and send the Delusional Lying Leftist Tyrants packing.
If the criteria for “control” is no positive tests then we will be in perpetual lockdown. Either stop testing or accept the fact that there will ALWAYS be positive tests.
This is a very important discussion, which Mr. Meadows has opened up in a somewhat inartful way.
You can’t make policy that is coherent if you don’t know what you are trying to do.
We have lots of policies that, if they were universal, enforceable, and did not produce catastrophic harm, could lead to zero infections.
HOWEVER
They are not universal, they are unenforceable, and they do lead to catastrophic harm, even when not universal and only partially enforced.
Battling in the public space over policies that cannot be carried out other than under a dictatorship is simple virtue-signalling - AND, it diverts attention from actually achievable mitigation policies that could save some lives and help a lot of people avoid a lot of harm.

How soon before this covid virus is referred to as a “seasonal covid” just like the seasonal flu is?
