”One New York City classical music fan wrote in the 1840s, for example, that he wished that “all women shall be gagged by officers duly licensed for the purpose before they’re allowed to enter a concert room.””

I would add restaurants at lunchtime to that

But that pales compared to the anti-gayness of Beethoven’s 3rd!!
Oh, come on, everyone knows the 3rd is about Napoleon's "Eroica" in bed, regardless of partner or gender.

While the 6th is clearly gay, all about shepherd's pipes and singing bird throats, the 8th, what Beethoven called "my little Symphony in F," was his finest act of self-satisfaction.

What have these people against good old, white European fagginess?

Vox was founded in April 2014 by Ezra (journOlist) Klein:

Wikipedia: Vox
In June 2016, Vox suspended contributor Emmett Rensin for a series of tweets calling for anti-Trump riots, including one on June 3, 2016, that urged, “If Trump comes to your town, start a riot.” The tweets drew attention after violent anti-Trump protests took place in San Jose, California on the day of Rensin’s tweet...

In September 2017, Klein published a post on Vox announcing that he was taking on a new role as editor-at-large, and that Lauren Williams, who joined Vox a few months after its founding, was the new editor-in-chief...

In May 2018, Vox partnered with Netflix to release a weekly TV show called Explained...

If it excludes retarded primitives, I’m so OK with it.

I’m guessing they’ve never even heard of Mahler’s 5th symphony or Beethoven’s 5th piano concerto.

I’m OK with that too. And I don’t care that they are not.

Tchaikovsky, Schubert, Britten, Copeland, Bernstein, and many more.

Not to mention Chopin hanging out with a woman named GEORGE.

Musicology has been one of the best kept secrets in the Marxist intellectual movement for decades.

Yup. Frankfurt School darling Theodore Adorno was a music critic both before and after his involvement with political theory and some of those reviews during are masterpieces of opaque Marxian cant. This stuff isn't anything new.

God, I forgot about Adorno. I had to read him in my Continental theory class, I believe

“And yet according to Ian Anderson every big riff in rock history is built on it.”

A lot of white people in rock. I suppose they will be after that, too.
