On the contrary, because a video / ad was ready and aired on MSNBC within hours it is clear this attack has been prepared for months and saved for the campaign stretch.
It would not be physically possible to assemble all the elements of the hit piece overnight and get it on MSNBC by early the next day.
More likely than not, some anti-Trump group had it in the can, but needed a reason to release it, which the Atlantic provided. It should remind us of the Russian pee-tape, which was held until Comey informed DjT of its existence and leaked to CNN giving it creditabilty and a reason to put the pee-tape in the public discussion.
The video / ad was constructed and presented to Goldberg and the Atlantic with the understanding they needed an excuse to release it. Goldberg obliged.
I'm guessing it was released now to divert attention away from the Nancy Pelosi hair dresser fiasco, otherwise, they would have saved until closer to election day.
LOL. Any Presidential campaign that couldn't get that ad up overnight needs to fire not only their rapid response team but probably their entire campaign management structure.
You obviously have no idea how quickly these things can be produced with the technology today.
