I consider my art appreciation class as one of the more valuable classes that I took in college. I enjoyed history, French, German and Geography But I think the sociology and psychology classes were completely worthless.
Looking back, the course I took on French Impressionism has helped me when I visit museums. The course on explorers was also interesting. However psychology, biology, chemistry, and philosophy were duds or worse. This was during a year at an Ivy League school. I was confused and lost and met buddah and moonies there. Thankfully I met the Lord some years later or I’d undoubtedly be dead.
